If you are wasting bandwidth unknowingly, the server will try to tell you and provide hints how to optimise your browser (which may well make your browsing experience as a whole faster).

One of the best ways to reduce your bandwidth usage is to download and use the sus. You can get it from sus.ftlog.org. The SUS uses only a fraction of the bandwidth compared to using the forum from your browser. It is also a much quicker way of working with the forums too!
